An Introduction to Completion Tests and Taking Over under the FIDIC Red Book

Level Advanced
Duration 30 minutes

The FIDIC suite of contracts is most commonly used for process plant, energy or other complicated projects, which will require some level of testing (and possibly a commissioning period) before the Employer will accept the Works as being complete.

Clause 9 sets out the requirements for the testing process, backed up by elements of the Specification which go into specifics about the nature of the tests and requirements to pass them.
