Having considered the processes by which an extension f time can be granted, we now move to look at the reasons why an extension of time may be given. These are known as Relevant Events.
The JCT 2024 Standard Forms contain 16 Relevant Events (15 in the without Quantities Form), covering a wide range of types of event and circumstance. Knowledge of these events and the nuances surrounding them is critical to properly managing a contract.
