In this course, we will take a look at the role of the construction industry in contributing to climate change; what industry operators are doing in response; and what challenges and opportunities lie ahead.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:
• Understand the impact of climate change on the built environment, including the contribution of the construction industry to carbon dioxide emissions
• Identify sustainable working practices and materials that can be used to reduce embodied and operational resource use in construction
• Recognise the importance of raising awareness of the need for climate change and biodiversity action amongst designers, developers, contractors, funders and investors
