Understanding Relevant Events under JCT D&B24

Having considered the processes by which an extension of time can be granted, we now move to look at the reasons why an extension of time may be given.  These are known as Relevant Events.

The JCT 2024 Design and Build Form contains 15 Relevant Events, covering a wide range of types of event and circumstance. Knowledge of these events and the nuances surrounding them is critical to properly managing a contract.
