Welcome to this course on the JCT 2024 Design and Build Form of contract.
The course is designed to provide you with a detailed explanation of the form, along with some tips and guidance on amendments, how and when to use it and some potential pitfalls. Over the next 20+ modules, we will examine the contract, its structure, principles and layout.
In this module, we will start by looking at the history of the contract suite, who is behind it and some of the key benefits of using the JCT forms. We will also take a very brief look at some of the changes from the last version (JCT 2016) to the new 2024 versions.
