2. Understand how the documents work together and the consequences of inadequacies, disparities, discrepancies or errors
3. Explain the payment provisions under the contract and how these are impacted by the HGCRA
4. Explain the payment provisions under the HGCRA

The aim of this course is to provide an overview of the formation of a contract, the necessary elements and what happens where there is no contract

After studying this course, you should be able to:

4. Explain the purpose of subcontracts and collateral warranties.

Part 2: Types of construction contract and tendering

The aim of this course is to understand the different types of construction contract and how they affect the tendering process. 

After studying this course, you should be able to:

1. Understand the difference between lump sum, cost plus and target cost contracts
2. Explain single-stage and two-stage tendering, early contractor involvement and BIM
3. Understand the difference between traditional and design & build contracts
4. Explain how a tender for each of the various contracts is put together.

The aim of this course is to understand various provisions in a typical construction contract

After studying this course, you should be able to:

1. Understand how various contracts deal with:

   • Subcontracting
   • Notices and reporting
   • Changes or Variations

Part 5: General provisions of a contract part 2

The aim of this course is to understand various provisions in a typical construction contract

After studying this course, you should be able to:

1. Understand how various contracts deal with:
   
   • Time
   • Loss and Expense
   • Claims in general

Part 6: General provisions of a contract part 3 and construction adjudication

The aim of this course is to understand various provisions in a typical construction contract and to provide an overview of construction adjudication.

After studying this course, you should be able to:

1. Understand how various contracts deal with:
   
   • Defective work
   • Termination
2. Explain how the adjudication provisions under the HGCRA operate.
